Who we are
Neil Baker and Arthur Piper formed Smith de Wint in 1996. They are the main driving forces behind the business, and lead all of our creative work.
Neil has over fifteen years experience as a business writer and journalist. He worked on B2B titles at Centaur Communications and VNU Business Publications before starting his freelance career. His writing has appeared everywhere from Vogue, the Independent and the Times to Accountancy Age, Financial Director and Poets and Writers' magazine.

Arthur started his journalism career at VNU Business Publications, holding senior editorial positions on Accountancy Age and working across the division’s other titles. He left VNU to join the launch team of Sunday Business and then to freelance more widely. His writing has appeared in the Times, the Daily Mail and several trade and professional titles.
